Itineraries
You have two options to reach Lukla: either fly from Kathmandu, which takes approximately 30-40 minutes, or opt for a 5 to 6-hour drive to Manthali/Ramechhap followed by a 20-minute flight to Lukla. From Lukla, the trek to Phakding, situated at an elevation of 2,652 meters, begins, with a trekking time of 3-4 hours.
The trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, which stands at an elevation of 3,440 meters, serves as the gateway to the Everest region, with a trekking duration of approximately 5-6 hours.
Rest and acclimatize in Namche Bazaar, a pivotal point in the Everest region trekking journey where trekkers often spend an extra day to adjust to the higher altitude. During this time, an optional hike to the Everest View Hotel offers breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, or alternatively, trekkers can opt for a hike to Khumjung village to experience local Sherpa culture and lifestyle. These activities aid in acclimatization while allowing trekkers to enjoy the stunning surroundings of the Himalayas.
Embark on a trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche, situated at an elevation of 3,870 meters. Tengboche is renowned for its iconic Tengboche Monastery, a significant spiritual center in the Everest region. The trek typically takes about 5-6 hours, offering mesmerizing views along the trail.

Trekkers can utilize this day to explore Dingboche at a leisurely pace, take short walks around the village, and enjoy the stunning mountain vistas. Additionally, an optional hike to Nagarjun Hill is available for those seeking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, further enhancing the acclimatization process while offering unforgettable scenery. Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m), with breathtaking views of the Khumbu Glacier.
Trekking time: 5-6 hours.
Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164m), the last settlement before Everest Base Camp.
Visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m), then return to Gorak Shep.
Trekking time: 7-8 hours.
Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) for sunrise views of Everest and surrounding peaks.
Descend to Gorak Shep and continue trekking back to Pheriche (4,371m) - Pangboche
Trekking time: 8-9 hours.
Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar.
Trekking time: 6-7 hours.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla.
Trekking time: 6-7 hours.
Fly back and drive to Kathmandu from Lukla.
